Albert

Albert Dennis played rugby union for Newtown before switching across to the Newtown Rugby League team in 1910. He was also listed in the Newtown Club’s water polo team in 1910.

Albert Dennis was an outside back who played mostly Second Grade but did make the one First Grade appearance with Newtown, in August 1911. He was also elected to the Newtown Rugby League General Committee in 1911.

While playing with Newtown he was regularly recorded as A. Dennis. On occasion he was also recorded as E. Dennis. This was the case when he played his one First Grade game with Newtown.

As such he is recorded as E. Dennis in the Rugby League Project and also as E. Dennis in the list of past Newtown First Grade players. He is Newtown First Grade player #74.
