Bunny

Adrian ‘Bunny’ Gleeson has been incorrectly named Andy Gleeson in the Rugby League Project with reference to his playing years at Wests and Newtown. He was correctly named as Adrian Gleeson in reference to his North Sydney playing record.

Adrian was born at Port Macquarie, NSW in 1917 where he learned his early football. He was endowed with great speed and it was said that he ran like a rabbit. It is most likely that he received the nickname ‘Bunny’ as a result.
