Arthur Conlin captained South Sydney in the 1908 rugby league grand final taking out the League’s first ever premiership.
In 1909 he was the competition’s top point with Souths taking out the premiership again that year.
He played in the 1910 grand final which ended in a scoreless draw. The premiership was awarded to the opposition Newtown club due to its higher ladder position.
By the end of 1910 Arthur Conlin held the record for the most point scored in a NSW rugby league career with 101 points.
Arthur Conlin played one more season with South Sydney before playing his final year in the competition with Western Suburbs. He played eight First Grade games with Wests and then retired from grade rugby league.
Arthur Conlin settled in the western suburbs district and was listed as the Secretary of the Literary Institute, Parramatta Rd, Homebush in 1925. He lived the remainder of his life at Homebush and died there in December 1947.
